There is a free tool that Google generously offers that is a great B2B research and B2B marketing tool for all business professionals. It’s a simple, effective way to research your industry, keep an eye on your competitors, take note of the latest industry news, and get creative ideas straight to your email.

What’s it called? Google Alerts

What is it?  It’s Google’s way of sending you direct search results to your email address for exactly what you’re looking for on a daily or weekly basis

How does it work? After you sign up with your Google account, you enter keywords that you want to track online (i.e. competitor names, your brands, keywords for your industry, technology keywords you’re looking for help on)

Then you set what kind of results you want to receive:  blogs, news, video, discussions, books, or everything

You select how often you want to receive an update from Google and how many results you want to get.

At any time you can login into your Alerts account and manage the settings.
